Duties and Responsibilities

Preparation and review of various federal and state income tax returns.

Tax research projects.

Preparation of quarterly federal and state estimated tax payments.

Analysis of financial information such as balance sheets, fixed asset ledger, and income statements as part of the tax preparation process.

Preparation of tax return work papers and supporting schedules in a manner consistent with professional standards.

Keeping current on the latest tax developments, including regulations, case law and policies.

Assist in financial planning and analysis.

Development of quality client relationships.
Position Requirements/Qualifications

Minimum Years of Experience: 3

Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting provided that all of the minimum requirements are met for CPA license (150 hours)

Certification Required: CPA or commitment to pass CPA exam

Prior experience with a “Big 4” or regional public accounting firm is strongly preferred.

Strong interest in investment advisory and general financial planning services.

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and clients.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel (intermediate to advanced level), QuickBooks and tax preparation software. Proficiency in CCH ProSystem Tax, CCH and BNA tax research software a plus.

Candidate should be highly driven and motivated with an ability to manage multiple engagements.
